Music Month 2025
Manitoba has a long and proud history of high-quality school music programs. Music Month is an excellent time to celebrate the music learning in our classrooms and raise our voices in support of music education in our schools.
The MMEA will be celebrating Music Month across online platforms in May 2025 through a Video Celebration. We invite music educators in Manitoba K-12 schools to submit a short music performance video clip to be included in the video compilation.
Examples may include solo performances, duets, small ensembles, larger groups or anything else you can think of! There is no prescribed repertoire; all genres of music are welcome. Performances from the 2023-2024 or 2024-2025 school year will be accepted and can be in a concert or classroom setting. Multiple videos may be submitted.

MMEA welcomes all submissions but cannot guarantee the inclusion of all videos.
It is the responsibility of the teacher to obtain all necessary copyright permission.
It is the responsibility of the teacher to obtain media release for all participants seen on video.
All videos must follow video submission guidelines

Does not exceed 2.5 minutes in length
Pay attention to lighting and sound quality
Filmed landscape (not portrait)
Submissions are due Friday, March 21, 2025.
